“Survival is all about whatever depths you can go to, to stay alive. The rewards don’t always go to people with the most knowledge or the most skills.
The people who survive are those who have got the biggest heart, spirit and determination to make it through,” says Grylls, whose real name is Edward Michael Grylls.
Set to star in a new show, Worst Case Scenario, which airs tonight on the same channel, Grylls says, “I’m not naturally fit. I need to work hard, so, I do a lot of mix of running, circuit training, and then yoga.”
Interestingly, he has even come close to being paralysed in the past. As for his favourite episode so far, he says, “We did one, which was about your building being under attack by terrorists and the whole thing was blowing up. I even had to use the emergency services on that show.”
