A few privileged ones make news thanks to their subsequent victory.
However, every season, we also witness a rather curious trend — the winner, who is greeted with much pomp and show post the win — almost always fades out of the industry. So, if you often wonder about their whereabouts, we give you a lowdown on what the last six winners of the reality show have been busy doing all this while.
Rahul Roy
Age: 45
Year: 2006

After a long hiatus, the Aashiqui (1990) actor is now making his Bollywood comeback with psychological thriller, To Be Or Not To Be. "I said ‘yes’ to this film because I was really looking for a strong storyline to make my comeback. I play a mad character," says Roy.
Talking about starting anew, he says, "I’ve realised that I can’t take myself for granted. I’ll strive to regain my respectability and position in the industry. I wish to now play my cards wisely."
Ashutosh Kaushik
Age: 34
Year: 2008
Post winning the show, Kaushik, who had also won Roadies 5.0 in 2007, was also seen on a few episodes of various TV shows such as Comedy Circus — Chinchpokli to China and Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, among others.
This small-town guy from Saharanpur was also part of films such as Zila Ghaziabad (2013) and Shortcut Romeo (2013). He is currently shooting for a film called Love Ke Funday, which is a romantic comedy.

Vindu Dara Singh
Age: 49
Year: 2009
After winning the show, Vindu Dara Singh did small roles in movies like Housefull (2010) and Son of Sardar (2012). He was also seen on some TV shows. In 2013, his name got embroiled in the IPL betting scandal. He is now looking forward to his upcoming films like Jatt James Bond, Non Veg, Pranam Valekum and Khanna Patel.
Shweta Tiwari
Age: 33
Year: 2011
She played Sweety on the TV show Parvarrish — Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi till August 2013 and also participated in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa. In July 2013, Shweta married her boyfriend of three years, Abhinav Kohli.
"As of now, I’m not doing anything. I’m planning to expand my acting school now," she says about her professional plans.
Juhi Parmar
Age: 33
Year: 2012
The actor, best known for playing Kumkum in the TV show Kumkum — Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, chose to spend time with her family, post winning the show.
Juhi, who is married to TV actor Sachin Shroff, gave birth to a daughter in January last year. "My daughter Samaira is keeping me completely busy. I can work my entire life, but being with my child when she uttered her first word or when she sat for the first time was more important to me," she says.
Urvashi Dholakia
Age: 33
Year: 2012

Urvashi, who is best known for playing Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, was seen doing stand-up comedy on the show, Nautanki — The Comedy Theatre, post winning the reality show.
She then took a break. Now, she says she has started a venture on foreign shores. "There are lot of things that are keeping me busy, but you will have to wait before I make any official announcements. I don’t like to brag. All I can reveal is that I have set up a venture abroad, which I have always wanted to do. I believe that I have a life beyond acting, and I also like it that way," she says.
