Israel’s military is facing mounting controversy as reports of looting in Lebanon and rising sexual misconduct complaints shake the IDF during wartime. A reserve battalion commander is under investigation after troops allegedly stole equipment during operations in south Lebanon. At the same time, new data presented to Israel’s Knesset shows nearly 2,500 sexual assault complaints were filed inside the military in 2025, with only a fraction leading to criminal trials.
