BJP Springs Surprise In Chhattisgarh; Names Vishnu Deo Sai As CM After Days Of Suspense

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has named Vishnu Deo Sai as the new Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, ending suspense over who will govern the state that the party won on December 2 after decisively defeating Congress. Vishnu Deo Singh, a former Union Minister and a tribal face, was in the CM race but was reportedly trailing Raman Singh who governed the state from 2003 to 2018. BJP is yet to announce CMs in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh – the other two states it won recently.
