Covid update: WHO’s vaccine insurance; MIT face mask; Delhi’s 3rd Covid wave?

From WHO planning vaccine's insurance to MIT's new face mask, here are the top updates on Covid-19 pandemic. The World Health Organisation (WHO) plans Covid-19 vaccine insurance scheme for 92 low-income countries. The compensation fund is being set up to allay fears that could hamper global rollout of vaccine shots. Also, MIT scientists have designed a new face mask that can inactivate the Sars-CoV-2 virus using heat. The new mask incorporates a heated copper mesh and does not need to be decontaminated. Meanwhile, Maharashtra government has extended lockdown in the state for another month amid rising Covid cases. Also, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to Centre over the use of Remdesivir and Favipiravir for Covid-19 treatment.
