Ecuador: Firefighters, Volunteers Battle Wildfire Near Homes in Quito

A forest fire broke out near a residential area in Quito, Ecuador, prompting nearly 60 firefighters and 14 fire vehicles to respond. Local residents also joined the effort using hoses, buckets and water bottles, while a helicopter operated over the area. No deaths or injuries were reported.
