According to the findings of a research at McMaster University, drinking milk after heavy weightlifting helps burn more fat. The research was conducted on a total of 56 men, who were divided into three groups. These men were put through a rigorous, weightlifting program over a 12-week period. After the workouts, the participants drank either two cups of skim milk, a soya beverage with equivalent amounts of protein and energy, or a carbohydrate beverage.
