about the video

It was three-and-a-half years ago that the then 17-year-old Shaq Moore left the United States to chase his dream of playing in the top flight of Spanish football - the Primera Division. Moore left behind his family and friends in Georgia and moved to Valencia, where he would spend time trying to impress three of the cities clubs: Valencia, Levante and Huracan. After a spell at Huracan ended prematurely following a financial crisis at the club, Moore ended up in the Levante B team before eventually forcing his way into the first team. The ‘Frogs’ were then promoted at the end of last season, finishing top of the Segunda Division standings to help Moore realise his dream of playing in La Liga. Moore, whose father is a former professional footballer from Trinidad and Tobago, said he knew that he had settled in his adopted home country when he started to dream in Spanish. And Moore’s ability to adapt to new team-mates and new surroundings has led to Levante offering the American a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2020. (Video credit – SNTV)
