Raipur, Chhattisgarh witnessed an inspiring moment on National Handloom Day as former women Naxals, who once carried weapons through the dense forests of Bastar, walked the ramp to huge applause after joining the mainstream.
The women, who had previously been associated with Left-Wing Extremism, showcased handloom clothing at an event highlighting India's rich textile heritage and the importance of traditional weavers and artisans. Their appearance on the ramp marked a striking transformation in their lives, from living amid conflict in the forests of Bastar to participating in a public cultural event.
