National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) has developed a non-invasive BiPAP ventilator in a record time of 36 days to treat Covid patients in Bengaluru. NAL is a constituent of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The ventilator is a microcontroller-based precise closed-loop adaptive control system. The ventilator has a built-in biocompatible '3D printed manifold coupler'. The ventilator is also equipped with HEPA filter (Highly Efficient Particulate Air Filter).
