BJP senior leader Arun Jaitley on Friday condemned the 'deviation' by central environment minister Jairam Ramesh from India's stated position at the UN Climate Summit at Cancun. Evidently, Ramesh in 2009 had said that India cannot and will not take Internationally Legally Abiding Emission Reduction Targets, which he contradicted in the recent Cancun Summit where he said that India could be open to internationally binding agreement on cutting carbon emissions down the line. The opposition leader condemned the reported statement of Ramesh at Summit in Cancun that all countries must take on a binding commitment under an appropriate legal form.
