BJP-LJP form alliance: Rajnath welcomes Paswan into NDA

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Chief Ram Vilas Paswan formally announced alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), ahead of the general elections due by May this year. BJP President Rajnath Singh welcomed Paswan into the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to contest next Lok Sabha elections. Rajnath Singh made the official announcement at a joint news conference in New Delhi. Ram Vilas Paswan said his party will support BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for country's top position.
