BJP slams appointment of Kalmadi, A Raja to Parliamentary committees

The BJP has condemned the appointment of tainted leaders Suresh Kalmadi and A Raja to Parliamentary standing committees. Kalmadi is accused of corruption during the 2010 Commonwealth Games, while Raja is an accused in the multi-billion dollar telecom scam. Criticising the Congress for the appointments, BJP leader Jagat Prakash Nadda said that the central government was acting as a protector of the corrupt by shielding its tainted members.
