Members of the banned militant outfit, National Democratic Front of Bodoland, gunned down at least 19 people, mostly Hindi-speaking, and several were injured in four coordinated attacks in Assam on Monday. The militants first attacked a bus travelling from Tezpur to Seijosa, two different cities in the state, carrying 25 people and lined up eight Hindi-speaking males on the road and shot them. Meanwhile, another set of NDFB militant group opened fire on a group standing at a shop near Dhekiajuli railway station in Sonitpur district of the state, which resulted in the killing of five people and left two others injured.
