Cauvery row: TN to file contempt petition against Karnataka

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday decided to file a contempt of court petition in the Supreme Court against Karnataka government over its decision to halt the release of Cauvery river waters in violation of the court orders. The decision was taken at a meeting held to review the situation, chaired by Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa.
