Centre not doing enough to tackle price rise: Modi

After a meeting of the Core Committee headed by the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi, Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the central government was not doing enough to tackle price rise. Modi further said that the government should not only provide the BPL families with wheat and rice at subsidized rates but also cover oil, pulses and other essential commodities. But the central and state governments differed on the criteria of determining BPL families and their population.
