Eco-friendly vans to protect greenery

The government of Jammu and Kashmir, in an attempt to preserve the environment, has introduced battery-operated vehicles in Dachigam National Park. Dachigam Park, 22 kilometres from Srinagar, a wildlife sanctuary is home to the endangered Hangul species of deer. It also houses other wildlife such as Black and brown Bear, Musk deer, leopards and many migratory birds.
