Gujarat, Punjab heighten security after militants' threat

Police in Gujarat and Punjab on Tuesday heightened security after alleged threats from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a Pakistan based militant organisation. In Rajkot, police officials conducted a high-level meeting to discuss ways to prevent any untoward incident. The police also said that the department is taking precautions, as there is a fear of a militant attack after the killing of the al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.
