Inflation climbs to 7.23% in April: Pranab

Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee today said that India's inflation has accelerated in April to 7.23% as price pressures for food, fuel and manufactured items have picked up. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Mukherjee added that the decline in wholesale price index (WPI) manufacture was reasonable.
