Left backs Prachanda on reviewing Indo-Nepal treaty

Indian Communists have extended their support to Nepal's Maoist chief Prachanda's demand for scrapping the 1950 India-Nepal Peace and Friendship treaty. Addressing a news conference in Kolkata on Tuesday, Prakash Karat, General Secretary of the Communist party of India (Marxists) said if needed, the treaty should be renegotiated.
