Petrol vendors in Maharashtra went on a 24-hour-strike on Monday, demanding a fuel marker kit to check adulteration. Nearly 256 petrol pumps in the financial capital and 2700 gas stations across the state were closed from Sunday midnight. Petrol Dealers Association in Maharashtra has been seeking the government's nod to keep fuel marker kit at petrol pumps to enable check the quality of fuel supplied by oil companies.
