Meira denies having power to remove Jaswant as PAC chief

Speaker of Lok Sabha, Meira Kumar on Saturday ruled out removal of Jaswant Singh, expelled leader of main opposition BJP, from the chair of a parliamentary panel. BJP had asked Singh to step down from the post of Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee after he was expelled from the primary membership of the party over Jinnah issue in August.
