Mukherjee confident of attaining 6 per cent economic growths

Finance Minster Pranab Mukherjee on Friday said that the country would attain 6 per cent economic growth despite sluggish monsoon and drought like situation. Mukherjee said higher government spending had paid dividends in improving factory output. Meanwhile, admitting that the fiscal deficit was high, Mukherjee hoped it would reduce in a phased manner.
