Naxals recruiting women and children

To gain a stronger foothold, the Naxals are including women and children in their ranks. They have started signing up young SC/ST girls in a covert manner. Intelligence inputs put the number of women in Naxal camps in Karnataka at around 35,which is a seven-fold increase in the last two years. The arrest of Anuradha Sharma and her husband recently is proof of women being recruited by the rebels.
