Odisha crisis: SC issues notices to centre, state

The Supreme Court today issued notices to the Central and the Odisha government, asking for an explanation on a petition seeking to restrain the state from releasing the Maoists in exchange of the abducted BJD MLA Jhina Hikaka. Lawyer S K Mohanty said that the apex court has given a time period to the centre and the state to respond to the notices.
