Seafood exporters find it hard to comply with EU Certificate

The Indian seafood export industry might face a serious threat as the central government is yet to finalise the formalities to issue catch certificates for exports to Europe, as The European Union (EU) had issued a warning that it will import seafood items with a catch certificate from January 1, 2010. Meanwhile Seafood Exporters feel that exporters will face difficulty in obtaining the United Nation's Catch Certificate, as there is less data available in India.
