A shootout victim's kin alleged the police in Gujarat killed their son in a fake encounter and vowed to move the court for a detailed probe to unravel the truth. Police had linked Samir Khan Pathan, to Pakistan-based Islamic militant organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad and shot him dead in Gujarat after he tried to flee from custody. Police had said he had planned to kill Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
