UPA Chairman Sonia Gandhi inaugurated the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on March 14. This is India's first airport to be operational under the public-private partnership. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and federal Aviation Minster Praful Patel were present at the inauguration ceremony. Sonia lit a lamp and unveiling a portrait of Rajiv Gandhi in a pilot's uniform.
