Visarjan

Today is a very special day for all the Durga devotees as today is 'Dashmi', which is marked by the 'Visarjan' or immersing the idol of goddess Durga in the holy waters of a river (which in Delhi's case is Yamuna). This is a way of saying goodbye to the goddess and asking her to come back again next year.
