16 million tonnes of waste, 314 acres, 8 mountains some as high as 18-storey buildings; people who reside in its foothills, depend on the metropolis’s cast offs, made ill by its toxic gases. The 122-year-old Deonar landfill is a problem that’s grown too large to ignore.
