Big boost to India-U.S ties; unescorted access to Pentagon for Indian Attaché

In a show of sign of trust & cooperation between India and U.S, India's defence attaché has now been given now unescorted access to the Pentagon. US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall made the announcement during Independence Day celebration event hosted by India's ambassador to the U.S Taranjit Singh Sandhu. The Pentagon, which is the headquarters of the U.S Department of Defense, is considered one of the most difficult places to get access. Even American citizens need high-level security clearances to enter the premises.
