Indian Army rescued 30 civilians who were trapped in vehicles after two avalanches hit a hilly area of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir. An army spokesperson said that the civilians were caught in the avalanches on the night of January 17 and 18 in 12 vehicles. He said after receiving information, teams of Army and Border Roads Organisation were dispatched to the spot and a rescue operation was launched. After 6 hours, all the civilians were taken out of the trapped vehicles and shifted to safer locations. Watch this video for more.
