Congress veteran Salman Khurshid unfazed over backlash for his views on Hindutva in a new book on Ayodhya verdict. Khurshid stoked a big row after drawing equivalence between Hindutva & Jihadist groups like ISIS & Boko Haram. Salman Khurshid recently launched his book titled 'Sunrise over Ayodhya; Nationhood in our times'. "Those who want to do politics can do politics & those who want to write books can do so. My book is for Hindu-Muslim unity & make people understand that SC Ayodhya judgement is a good judgement. My book is a call for unity and those who are misusing religion should be rejected. Those who are indulging in politics are actually afraid of the truth that has come to the fore," Khurshid said. BJP, Shiv Sena and even Congress veteran Ghulam Nabi Azad have criticised Khurshid for comparing Hindutva with terror groups. BJP govt in Madhya Pradesh has said that it will consult legal experts to ban the book in the state. MP home minister Narottam Mishra said, "Salman Khurshid raised questions over hindutva which the Supreme Court has described as a way of life. Sonia Gandhi should clear on whose side she stands. I will consult legal experts and get this book banned in Madhya Pradesh."
