‘The Kashmir Files' release put on hold in New Zealand. Here's Why

New Zealand chief sensor is reviewing the classification of the 'The Kashmir Files'. 'The Kashmir Files' was due for release on march 24 in New Zealand with an 'R16' rating certificate. New Zealand's 'R16' film classification means people aged 16 & above can watch that movie. However, the New Zealand censor board decided to review the decision & put on hold the screening of the film. New zealand chief censor told media outlet 'stuff' that 'this isn’t a case of banning the film'. An online petition has been started for the release of the movie in New Zealand.
