A steep rise has been observed in the illegal migration of Indians to the United States. Nearly 42,000 Indians reportedly crossed into the US through its southern border with Mexico, reported Wall Street Journal. The numbers have almost doubled when compared to periods between 2021 to 2022 and 2022 to 2023. The rise in illegal immigration has also caused problems to visa applicants as tightened scrutiny has increased the wait time for approval.
