Russia's Vladimir Putin administration has lambasted the U.S. over the drone conflict. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Washington's 'increased' spying on Moscow had led to the drone incident over the Black Sea. He warned that Russia will react proportionately to any future U.S. provocations. However, a "defiant' Washington said that they will continue to fly wherever international law allows. The March 14 drone crash was the first such incident between Moscow and Washington since President Vladimir Putin sent troops to Ukraine in February 2022.
