Russia: No flights out as men aged 18-65 flee amid Putin's call-up; 1,300 held
Vladimir Putin’s mobilisation call to reservists has fuelled unrest in Russia. Just hours after the Russian President’s decree, all flights out of the country either sold out or became costly. Most of the flights are headed to Turkey. Reportedly, Russian Airlines even denied tickets to men aged between 18-65 (considered the fighting age). Protests also took place in several Russian cities against Putin’s decree. Some reports stated that over 1,300 people were arrested in these demonstrations. Ukraine's Defence Ministry also took a jibe at Russia in this situation and tweeted a suggestion for those trying to leave their country. Watch this video for more details.
