Desisa and Kabuu win Delhi Half Marathon

The Airtel Delhi Half marathon saw Ethiopian athlete Lelisa Desisa winning the men's category with Kenya's Lucy Kabuu taking the women's title. Delhi chief minister, Sheila Dikshit, Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan and Bipasha Basu along with other dignitaries presented accolades and prize money to the winners. Lilesa won with a timing of 59:29 minutes while Kabuu clocked 67:04 minutes to win the title. Addressing a post-marathon news conference, Kabuu expressed her joy at winning the marathon. The event started with the main race of 21.097 kilometres, followed by the wheelchair race of 2.5 kilometres.
