New Indian field hockey association formed

The Indian Olympic Association on Wednesday announced the formation of a new field hockey body to govern the sport in the country ahead of the World Cup in New Delhi next year. The decision was taken after concerns and constant warnings were issued by the International Hockey Federation of debarring India from the game in the international arena.
