Ponting gives India hope (the video is loading, may take long. Please bear with us...)
After a flurry of wickets in the last two days, Australia managed to hold fort relatively well in the first session on day four of the third Test in Perth. But the home side lost the crucial wicket of Ricky Ponting, who had to be in the thick of plans if Australia were to successfully chase down the target of 413. At lunch, the Aussies were 142-3, still needing 271 runs to win. Later, the tourists went on to capitalise on this Aussie loss and register a memorable win in Perth, defeating hosts by 72 runs.
