US' expensive carrier group vulnerable to $20,000 killer Iranian drones? USS Abraham Lincoln parked

The Abraham Lincoln reached its operating area near Iranian waters on the evening of January 25 and is now in a position to project power toward the Persian Gulf, with separate U.S. transport ships reportedly moving specialized missile‑defense equipment and a THAAD battery to Israel to reinforce regional air and missile defenses. President Donald Trump’s earlier announcement that a “massive fleet” was heading toward Iran followed Tehran’s harsh crackdown on anti‑government protests in early January, and comes alongside reports that a second U.S. carrier group is in the Mediterranean and a third has crossed the Atlantic, making this one of the largest recent American naval mobilizations.
