Watch: Why Biden signed a law banning import of goods from Chinese region

Global pressure is mounting on China over abuse of minority Uyghur population. U.S. President Joe Biden has signed a law banning imports from China's Xinjiang region. China has been orchestrating the migration of the ethnic majority to dilute the minority Uyghur population. Over the past few years, over a million Uyghurs have been detained against their will; reports also suggest China has been forcibly mass sterilising Uyghur women. Canada, UK, Australia & The Netherlands have accused China of committing genocide.
