Trump impeached for inciting Capitol riots: What happens next l Explained

Donald Trump has become the first US president to be impeached for the second time in his tenure. Trump was charged with ‘incitement of insurrection’ over the deadly mob siege of the U.S. Capitol last week. ‘Today, in a bipartisan way, the House demonstrated that no one is above the law, not even the president of the United States,’ Nancy Pelosi said after the vote. Interestingly, 10 Republican lawmakers also voted with the Democrats to impeach the President. The Senate, however, will not hold trial before the next US President takes charge. Trump was first impeached by the House in 2019 over his dealings with Ukraine, but the Senate voted in 2020 to acquit him. So what lies ahead for Donald Trump, watch this full video to find out.
