Pakistan MP's video in New York shaming American women faces flak online

A Pakistani parliamentarian, Shehryar Khan Afridi, is facing flak on social media after a controversial video. He is reportedly part of the Pakistani delegation for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). In the video, Afridi is seen strolling through New York's Times Square commenting on American culture, especially customs related to women. He insinuated that while women are respected in Pakistan, they are in a bad state in the US, which claims to be a guardian of human rights and lectures Islamabad on such issues. US journalist Joyce Karam shared the video and slammed Afridi. She also pointed out that he's wearing a t-shirt of Levi's, an American company. Afridi reportedly chairs the special committee on on Kashmir in the Pak parliament. Watch the full video for more.
