Bangladesh scholar hails death sentence of war crimes accused

Bangladesh's leading Islamic scholar Mohammad Mamunur Rashid has welcomed the death sentences by the war crimes trial tribunal against the accused persons that they allegedly committed during the country's independence struggle in 1971. While talking to reporters in the national capital Dhaka, Rashid said that the verdicts are in accordance with the people's wishes.
