PM meets Brown

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown told his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh that the world financial groupings need to back a U.S. financial bailout plan. Brown, who was in New York for a UN summit on poverty, met Singh on the sidelines of General Assembly on Friday. Montek Singh Ahluwalia while briefing on the meeting said that both the leaders agreed on expanding G-8 to act as a bulwark against future crisis.
