Video | Deer rescued from canal in Arizona

Arizona Game and Fish Department officers and local cowboys came together to rescue a deer stuck in a canal near Lake Pleasant, Phoenix. After receiving calls about the animal, officers attended the site to find local cowboys trying to get the deer back to land. A cowboy managed to get a lasso around its antlers and drag it to safety. Its legs were tied together to contain it before it was driven out into parkland, where it was released. The mule deer, which is indigenous to North America, was standing and shivering following its release. He sat there for about twenty minutes, warmed himself up, and was able to run of back out to the desert.
