Jenna Symons of Guelph, in Ontario, filmed her guinea pig, “Ceico”, performing a variety of stunts and uploaded it to YouTube. A sampling of Ceico's tricks include drawing playing cards, jumping over obstacles, and even raising a miniature Canadian flag.Symons, 20, says she has owned the four-year-old guinea pig since it was a baby, training it regularly.”Most people assume that guinea pigs are dumb and that it takes a long time to train them to do anything, but in reality, it only takes one five-10 minute session a day to teach them tricks,” she told Reuters in an emailed interview.”Consistency is more important, and having a solid bond established before starting their training is key. Guinea pigs are often shy initially, but that doesn't mean they're dumb or hard to train animals,” she added.
