'Europe's 9/11 moment': Ukraine envoy tweets videos from war-hit parts

A video was tweeted by Ukraine's envoy to Austria, Olexander Scherba, as he wrote: "A Russian Grad missile launcher. Shelling from residential area. (sic)"

He also shared another clip, which, he said, showed a Russian plane downed by Ukraine in war-hit Kharkiv's Izyum. The clip shows the plane falling from the sky, leaving behind a long trail of smoke. A Russian plane downed in the sky over Izyum (#Kharkiv oblast) (sic)," his tweet read.

At least nine people were killed and 57 were wounded, according to news agency Reuters. The 360 square-km (140 square-mile) facility less than 25 km (15 miles) from the Polish border, is one Ukraine's biggest and the largest in the western part of the country.

Russia has stepped up attacks in western Ukraine in the recent days, including bombing several airports on Friday. The Russian military also continues to target sites around Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, and fierce fighting has been reported there.
On Twitter, the envoy wrote: "A civilian train that headed to Donbas to evacuate refugees, was hit tonight by Russia. One train conductor is dead. Also a mil polygon near the Polish border was hit by 8 missiles. (sic)"
