An Emirates plane with 275 people on board was involved in an accident on landing Wednesday at Dubai airport but all the passengers were evacuated safely, the government said.
An Emirates plane with 300 people on board crash-landed at the Dubai International Airport on Wednesday.

All the 282 passengers, including 226 Indians, and 18 crew members were evacuated safely, the air-carrier said.
Footage and photos on social media showed smoke billowing from the aircraft.

The airline said the crash-landing took place at 12.45pm local time.


The Dubai government’s official media office said they were “dealing with the incident at the moment to ensure safety of all” and that all departures from the airport had been halted until further notice.”


Emirates predicted there would be a four-hour delay in operations across its network.

Dubai International is by far the Mideast’s busiest airport, and is the world’s busiest air hub in terms of international passenger traffic.
